Who we are

This website is operated by Jem Scragg, trading as Roxmore, a growth consultancy based in Surrey, United Kingdom. For the purposes of UK data protection law, Roxmore is the data controller responsible for your personal data.

What data we collect and why

Contact form. When you submit our contact form, we collect your name, email address, a brief description of your project, and how you heard about us. We use this information solely to respond to your enquiry and assess whether we can help you. The legal basis for this processing is your consent, which you provide when you tick the consent checkbox and submit the form.

Google Analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our website, for example which pages are viewed and how people navigate the site. Google Analytics sets cookies on your device to collect this information. The data is anonymised and aggregated; we do not use it to identify individual visitors. The legal basis for this processing is your consent, given when you accept cookies on our site.

  • _gaGoogle Analytics. Distinguishes unique users. Expires after 2 years.
  • _gidGoogle Analytics. Distinguishes users across sessions. Expires after 24 hours.
  • _gatGoogle Analytics. Throttles the request rate. Expires after 1 minute.

You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings at any time. Disabling Google Analytics cookies will not affect your ability to use this site.

Who we share your data with

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We may share it with:

Our email service provider. We use a third-party service to receive and store messages submitted through our contact form. Only the data you submit is shared, and only for the purpose of delivering your message to us.

Google LLC. As part of our use of Google Analytics, usage data is processed by Google, which may transfer it to servers in the United States. Google participates in the EU-US and UK-US Data Privacy Frameworks and provides appropriate safeguards for international transfers.

How long we keep your data

We retain contact form submissions for as long as is reasonably necessary to respond to your enquiry and maintain a record of our correspondence, typically no longer than three years from the date of submission.

If your enquiry leads to a client engagement, we will retain relevant communications for the duration of that relationship and for a reasonable period afterwards in accordance with our business and legal obligations.

Analytics data is retained in line with Google Analytics' default data retention settings, which you can review in Google's own privacy documentation.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the following rights in relation to your personal data:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Correct any inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Object to or restrict our processing of your data
  • Withdraw consent at any time (where processing is based on consent)
  • Receive your data in a portable, machine-readable format

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we handle your personal data, you have the right to make a complaint to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK supervisory authority for data protection.

You can contact the ICO at ico.org.uk or by calling 0303 123 1113. We would, however, appreciate the opportunity to address your concerns before you contact the ICO, so please do reach out to us first.

Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or in applicable law. When we make changes, we will revise the "last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
